Advice to pass down
I made an educated guess on the amounts for this recipe. Normally I throw together different vodkas, rums, sometimes tequila, and different juices.
The key ingredient I originally used is no longer available but its Cotton Candy Vodka.
Mom's Mimosas
There are multiple variations for mimosas. Here is mine! I usually buy Prosecco from Costco or Sams - whatever their brand is.
Christmas Mimosa
Rim glass with sugar and cinnamon
Use Cranberry juice
Garnish with frozen cranberries and rosemary
Fall Mimosa
Rim glass with cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg or all spice blend
Use Apple juice or apple cider
Garnish with cinnamon stick and dash of cinnamon
Summer Blast
Rim glass with colored sugar
Add Grenadine in bottom
Mix Prosecco and pineapple juice
Garnish with cherry
Grinch Mimosa
Rim glass with colored sugar
Use orange juice
Add Blue Curacao drops until green
For the basic version, just use orange juice all year round! You can get creative with different juices - apple cider in fall, cranberry for holidays, and pineapple in summer.
Measurements: Take a glass and fill 75%-95% of Prosecco and finish off with juice. For a true Mom Mimosa, use 90% Prosecco and 10% juice. But if you can't hang adjust how you want 😂
Malibu Sunset
What You'll Need
2 oz Malibu rum
4 oz pineapple juice
1 oz grenadine
Ice, cherries & pineapple for garnish
Mix It Up
Start by filling your glass with ice, then pour in the pineapple juice and Malibu rum. The key is to tip the glass while adding the grenadine - this creates that stunning layered effect!
The Final Touch
Your Malibu Sunset should have a gorgeous gradient from yellow to red. Top it off with maraschino cherries and pineapple chunks for that perfect tropical look!
Rum Punch
A tropical blend of citrus juices and rum that's perfect for both single servings and pitchers! 🍹
The Ingredients
For one cocktail:
1.5 oz each of orange, pineapple, and lime juice,
2-3 oz Bacardi Superior,
tablespoon of grenadine
For a pitcher:
1 cup each of juices,
1.5-2 cups Bacardi Superior,
1/4 cup grenadine
Mixing It Up
Combine all ingredients together and stir well with a cocktail stirrer or large spoon. The amount of Bacardi depends on how strong you like it!
Serve & Garnish
Pour over ice and garnish with fresh pineapple chunks or maraschino cherries to make your drink extra beautiful!
Summer Watermelon Cosmopolitan
What You'll Need
⅔ cup fresh watermelon juice (½ small watermelon),
1 tsp simple syrup,
1 tsp fresh lime juice,
3 oz vodka, and plenty of ice.
Don't forget to save a couple watermelon wedges for garnish!
Prep Your Juice
Start by pureeing fresh watermelon chunks in your food processor or blender. Strain the mixture using the back of a spoon to press through, removing any pulp for that perfect smooth juice.
Shake & Serve
Combine your watermelon juice, simple syrup, lime juice, and vodka in a shaker with ice. Shake it well and strain into martini glasses. Your gorgeous pink cocktail is ready to enjoy!
Cotton Candy Margarita
What You'll Need
1 cup white tequila
¾ cup fresh lime juice
1 can (8 oz) Canada Dry Vanilla Cream Soda
⅓ cup orange liqueur
1 package pink cotton candy
Sugar for rimming glasses
Mix It Up
Combine tequila, lime juice, vanilla soda, and orange liqueur in a large cocktail glass. Pour over cotton candy in a pitcher and let it dissolve. Chill for an hour, then rim your glasses with sugar. Fill glasses ¾ full and add fresh cotton candy to each.
The Final Touch
Serve chilled over ice for best results. Garnish with a lemon or lime wheel and a fluffy piece of cotton candy on top. Perfect for parties or when you want to add a magical touch to your cocktail hour! 🍸
