Add the flour, vanilla, and finely chopped pecans, mixing thoroughly until you have a uniform dough
Pinch off pieces of dough about the size of your finger and shape each piece like a finger
Place shaped cookies on a greased baking sheet and bake at 300°F for 25 minutes
While the cookies are still hot, roll them in powdered sugar for that classic wedding cookie finish

Preheat oven to 375°F and unwrap all Hershey Kisses. Set them aside for later.
Beat shortening and peanut butter until well blended. Add sugars and beat until fluffy. Mix in egg, milk, and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in separate bowl. Gradually add to peanut butter mixture, beating until well blended.
Form 1-inch dough balls, roll in sugar, and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes until lightly browned.
Immediately press a Hershey Kiss into center of each warm cookie. Let cool completely before serving.
